Welcome to the Boulder Alano Club Planning Process

We’re excited that you’ve come to this site to find out about plans for a Boulder Alano Club.

Boulder has a large recovery community that participates in a myriad of 12-step programs.  In the past several months, there has been a lot of interest in finding a place that the Alano Club can call “home,” and provide a safe and supportive venue for the recovery community to gather.

We welcome your input and suggestions. You can comment below.

    What does this mean” With moral and financial support from the community and participating recovery groups Boulder Alano Club will support afflicted individuals and their families who are active and in their struggle to overcome alcoholism and other addictions.” You will help me with my rent? Or, I believe a club is supported solely by its members?

    I am for a club, it will certainly help. I am grateful for the committee who is doing all this footwork.

      Thanks for your comment. What the statement means that you’ve referred to is that we will receive financial support from membership dues and other contributions as appropriate and in keeping with AA Club suggestions. “Boulder Alano Club will support….” refers to emotional/spiritual support. We appreciate your interest!

    How will and Boulder Alano Club relate to existing Alcoholics Anonymous organizations?

      Thanks for the question. The Boulder Alano Club will be provide a space for any 12-step groups to meet. Groups that choose to have their meetings at the Boulder Alano Club will pay rent.

      Hi Nina – It’s at 4800 Baseline – at Baseline and Foothills. The Club is in the Meadows Center shopping mall. The plans are exciting and we look forward to having this resource for the Boulder recovery community!

    Is there a potluck on May 19? Also, for me, i am not on a direct bus line. Maybe I’ll have a car again, but in the meantime, it’s difficult for me. I’ll turn it over.

      Hi Nina,

      You are welcome to park in the large parking lot of the Meadows Shopping Center in front of the Alano Club, Big Daddy Bagels, and .99¢ Store. Additionally there is parking behind the club in the Boulder Public Library parking lot. Thanks!
